Our Journey
Founded in 2017, Atman Care has established itself as a leading community physical and mental health and social care provider in North Kent.
We specialise in delivering complex and comprehensive care packages to clients with diverse and complex needs, working closely with NHS Integrated Care Boards and local authorities, including Kent County Council, Croydon County Council, Lambeth Council, Medway Council, and Cornwall Council.
We are an affiliated partner with Kent Integrated Care Alliance (KICA) and registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), where we are rated ‘Good’, ensuring compliance with the highest standards for the provision of personal care. We also employ an internal system designed to promote and maintain quality care and its outcomes.
As a values-driven company, we put compassion, honesty, and empowerment at the centre of everything we do to ensure the welfare of both service users and our employees.
Our Expertise
We are an independent, specialist-supported living and home care service provider, catering to a wide range of physical health, and mental health conditions. Our expertise includes managing people with learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, personality disorders, complex mental health presentations, and neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder and ADHD.
We are also experienced in managing people with challenging behaviours, as well as individuals with a forensic history.
The backbone of our service is our highly skilled team, which includes a forensic psychiatrist, a registered mental health nurse, and a service manager, each bringing over a decade of experience in their respective fields. We leverage this expertise to employ a range of effective strategies and approaches, such as Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Antecedent-Behaviour-Consequence (ABC) analysis, and social stories to offer comprehensive and tailored support to our clients, ensuring that each individual's unique needs and preferences are addressed.
We are skilled in handling and providing support to clients under Community Treatment Orders, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS), and those Conditionally Discharged from the Ministry of Justice.
Our approach is always person-centred, considering the individual's whole context, which allows us to offer support that is not only responsive to their changing needs, safe from potential risk or incidents, and effective care delivery, but also compassionate and respectful.
